"Obesity is a battle against one's own Biology"
Obesity is a chronic disease just like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease etc. It is the major risk factor for over 200 disease processes and actually shortens our life spans. It is estimated that two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese. Diet and exercise account for only 6% weight loss. Too many people get frustrated when they lose weight with diet and exercise only to gain it back again within two years. With the help of FDA approved medications for long term management of obesity, your weight loss can be significantly higher and also sustained for much longer. Just losing 5-10 percent of your body weight helps significantly improve common medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis, acid reflux, sleep apnea and others. Patients are happier with the way they feel, their ability to do more activities than they used to, getting off some of their medications and improvement in self-esteem.
Call 732.662.5888 to schedule your consultation and find out about your options for getting to a healthy weight. Losing weight will bring you closer to your goals of reducing your blood pressure, blood sugars, cholesterol levels, risks for heart disease and stroke, and much more importantly, a longer, healthier life.
